Code Vein

Fun gameplay in a post-apocalyptic and intriguing world, a shameless souls-like game that merges the genre with hack and slash elements and anime art.

The game is easier than any souls game, additionally, you have the option of having a partner in your journey, sadly this partner is overpowered, being able of killing solo any normal enemy, healing himself, and even with the ability to revive you, diminishing much of the souls experience if it is what are you looking for, you can remove it but at the cost of losing the smalls but valuables scripted dialogues in your run through the remains of the world.

The story and lore are excellent and the background stories of the characters you know in the world are touching, despite this, most of the characters are unidimensional, being or kind and full of virtues or corrupt and selfish, without points in between, ergo there is no growth of any of them in the development of the story.

Is worthy to mentioned that the game implement a mechanic to swap between different builds without penalty, allowing you to try different strategies and gears depending on the challenge, making the gameplay even more fun, which in my opinion is one of the strongest points of the game.
